Warming up
We left the European continent as we crossed the Gallata bridge over the mighty Bosphorus, and entered Asia. I found it fascinating to see how the city of Istanbul was spread over 2 continents, and linked only by 2 bridges.
Into Africa
Our dream was to reach the African continent entirely by land via the Middle East and experience the transition from one scene and culture to another...
Ethiopia
"How is the road?" I asked at the solitary border post between the Sudan and Ethiopia. "Very good," was the reply. We felt like we were digging deeper and deeper into Africa. And we loved it!
The great plains - Kenya - Tanzania - Uganda
I must admit that visiting all the national parks of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania was as close as we could get to living our dream.
