ETHIOPIA

After 3 days we reached Gondar, the previous capital of Ethiopia, and started noticing bizarre phenomena...

We made a detour to Eritrea before continuing south. Asmara, the capital, came as a total surprise.

I didn't expect to feel cold so often.

There are 83 languages in Ethiopia, but only one word was used when it came to me : You.

The legend says that Lalibela was built with the help of angels around the 12th century. It is a complex of 11 monolithic churches, which were each hewn out of a single block of stone. Assembled in 3 groups they were all interconnected through a network of tunnels.

And I must tell you about how we covered 2000 kms in 7 days and didn't see one other vehicle.

I often wished we had more space to live inside the Land Rover.
