There are 83 languages in Ethiopia, but only one word was used when it came to me : You.

People would shout "YOU! YOU!"and if they could, they would also pinch me real hard or throw stones at my head. I ended up storing a bunch of stones next to me and walked around with a stick. I never thought I would throw stones at people, but I did and more than once. At markets, the whole village would follow and surround me, treating me like a wild pig. If I stayed inside the Land Rover and Paul went to the market, nobody would follow him. They would all hang around the vehicle and try to open the doors or start shaking it.
