PAUL GODARD, TEAM LEADER

Paul was the creative force behind the expedition. From conceptualization to realization, he provided training in interactive multimedia websites and CDROMs. He played the role of scientific and technical adviser. His responsibilities included surveys on each region and the development of training packages.

As a landscape photographer, he also took the pictures for monitoring the evolution in natural vegetation and cultivation systems in the framework of the Shantz Project.

Paul Godard born 18/11/59 is from the Belgian Wallon tribe.

Ph D in Sciences (emphasis on Ecology, Agronomy, Computer & Communication) and Master in Business & Administration.

Paul has worked for different organizations -- public and private, in the US, Belgium, Egypt and Senegal -- mostly on international projects. From 1987 to 1989 Paul has managed his own software company.  Today he is the photographer and art director of their photographic and design agency - Gondwana - near Cape Town, South Africa.
