Obermüller & Robbe During the first part of the preparations for the expedition, they assisted us with office facilities. Mireille Robbe also painted the Africa map on the side of the Land Rover.

Planchard & Co Mrs Anne Planchard - Paul's mother - has given valuable assistance with the preparation of the vehicle and the follow-up of the photographic material during the expedition.

Reiskrant Reiskrant, a travel agent in Bruges, helped us with many contacts.

Royal Museum of Central Africa The Royal Museum of Central Africa in Brussels welcomed us for our press conference and launch.

Ténéré, a tour operator for Africa in Gent, helped us with many contacts. We also co-printed 400 Gondwana T-shirts.

TFA Marcel Werner of the Telecommunications Foundation of Africa (TFA) helped us with many useful contacts.

UCL/BOTA Prof. Charles Van Hove - Paul's mentor and best friend - of the laboratory of Plant Biology of the UniversitÈ Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-La-Neuve has acted as a permanent secretariat for all scientific requests during the expedition.

Vandecasteele & co Hugo and Anita Vandecasteele - Petra's parents -, managed our permanent secretariat for all daily activities and logistics. Their valuable assistance enabled us to solve numerous technical problems.


In memory of Christian Godard

During the first Gondwana expedition, in Jan 95, Christian Godard -- comics designer, painter and writer -- died in Etrechy, France. He was a wonderful man and Paul's father.
