The author and photographer

Petra Vandecasteele is an inspirational writer born in Belgium in 1965, and now living in South Africa. With a background of several European languages, she has used her knowledge of French, Dutch and English as a freelance travel writer for a leading European magazine, and has been a multilingual creative writer for international corporates since 1998. Petra contributes regularly to leading South African publications and is the editor of Kids of Nature; she enjoys capturing the essence of her subject and creating an inspiring reading experience (www.inspirationalwritingbypetra.com).

Paul Godard who has a PhD in Sciences (Biology), is a nature photographer and has exhibited his work in Brussels, Paris, Washington, Harare and Cape Town. He is the main photographer for the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve website and also
contributes to Petra's features.

They have travelled extensively and live at the edge of the Kogelberg Biosphere in Gordon's Bay, near Cape Town.
